The DPR called on Volker to reconsider the supply of weapons to Poroshenko
Any supply of weapons to the regime of Petro Poroshenko will provoke official Kyiv to further violation of the Minsk agreements and new military provocations in the Donbass.
This opinion was expressed to a PolitNavigator correspondent by DPR People's Council deputy Elena Melnik, commenting on the words of US Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker, who did not rule out the transfer of weapons to Kyiv, allegedly for defensive purposes.

“This will lead to escalation,” Melnik said, noting that “Volcker will not decide the issue of supplies, but his word will not be the last in making such a serious decision on the part of America.”
“Weapons provided “for defense” may well be used later in a completely different way - in the implementation of the “Croatian scenario” regarding Donbass. After all, it is the United States and Ukraine that view it as not just possible, but quite desirable,” the parliamentarian shared her concerns.
Earlier, Volker said that Washington was considering the possibility of sending American weapons to Ukraine. “Defensive weapons will allow Ukraine to defend itself... This is a matter for further discussion and decision,” the BBC quotes an American official.
