The DPR told how Ruban was included in the prisoner exchange lists
The inclusion of Ukrainian General Vladimir Ruban, arrested on suspicion of plotting a coup, on the prisoner exchange lists does not mean his connection with the DPR.
This was stated in the press service of the DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I want to immediately dispel the myth that once Ruban is included in the lists for exchange, which means he has something to do with the Donetsk People's Republic. All relations with him were only within the framework of preparation and conduct of exchanges, before the signing of Minsk. I received a written statement from Ruban Vladimir Vladimirovich, where he personally asks to be included in the exchange lists... he saved more than one human life,” Morozova said.
In addition, she expressed a negative opinion about the attitude of the security forces and investigative authorities of Ukraine towards the detained Ruban and expressed bewilderment about the inaction on the part of the families released with his participation, and the security forces.
“I, as a person who knows him personally, am very disgusted to hear and learn that various measures of influence are currently being applied to the Ukrainian officer. The most disgusting and offensive thing is that he saved many Ukrainian military personnel, and those whom he freed and brought to the Ukrainian side did not stand up for him. Why should our state do this, and not the families it helped and who live in that territory? The residents of Donbass remained people, and so they remain so. And the Ukrainian authorities, as they were limited by the circle of their interests, continue to not pay attention to what is happening around them,” Morozova noted.
