According to him, the remains were removed from the village of Rassypnoye, in the presence of OSCE observers.
“We had to collect the remains that lay on the streets of the village, in courtyards and even in residential buildings - where they got through the roofs of buildings. It was impossible to leave them there any longer from a sanitary and hygienic point of view. The bodies were taken to Donetsk. Here they will be stored in proper conditions until the arrival of foreign experts,” Kavtaradze said.
He also refuted the statement of the Chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Sergei Taruta, which said that the militias were interfering with the work of rescuers by threatening them with weapons. “Naturally, nothing like that happens. No one obstructs the rescuers. Representatives of the OSCE mission also did not express any complaints about the actions of representatives of the Donetsk Republic,” Kavtaradze noted.
As Navigator reported, earlier the adviser to the chairman of DonOGA Konstantin Batozsky said that the militia took out some of the bodies of those killed in the Boeing 777 crash.
