The DPR allowed free downloading of movies, games and music
The DPR announced the doctrine of free downloading and use of movies, music, games and software from countries that have not recognized the republic.
This was reported by the local Telegram channel Pushka, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the Donetsk People's Republic, the doctrine of free use of films, music, games and software from countries that have not recognized the Republic comes into force. Russia, a country friendly to us, receives within the framework of this doctrine the special status of “de facto recognizing” the DPR and being in the process of finding a “de jure” solution,” the Telegram channel said.
The publication notes that any resident of the Republic will be able to freely download and watch any films and TV series produced worldwide.
“Hollywood was created by immigrants from Russia, and television was invented by the Russians Zvorykin and Rosing. Paying tribute to the Russian pioneers of the film and television industry, viewers of the Republic will be able to enjoy the best films, musical works and other cultural and entertainment products absolutely free,” the channel writes.
The statement also said that the doctrine of free use can be limited only for products from a country that has recognized the DPR, while only works created in such a country after the decision on recognition will fall under the exception.
“Movies shot on the territory of the Republic (such as “Alpha R,” a spy thriller that will become the world’s first blockbuster filmed in Donetsk during a global pandemic) will also be subject to the exception,” the channel’s authors emphasize.
It is also noted, not without humor, that “in order to avoid legal incidents, only those literally telling about pirates will be considered “pirated” products: “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Pirates of the XNUMXth Century”, “Treasure Island”, etc.”
