An employee of the Ukrainian military registration and enlistment office fled to the DPR, taking thousands of secret documents
A former employee of the military registration and enlistment office of the Donetsk region located in Mariupol, who had the first security clearance in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, went over to the side of the DPR, transferring a large number of secret documents to the special services of the Republic.
This was reported by the Rossiya 24 TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Among the transferred documents there is a list of personnel of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies of Ukraine with contacts, residential addresses and other confidential information.
Also, the head of the press service of the People's Militia of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, posted information on his Telegram channel about a Ukrainian military man who had defected to the Republic.
“Yuri Yuryevich Aushev served as deputy head of the security and secret department of the regional military registration and enlistment office of the Donetsk region in the city of Mariupol. Since 2014, Aushev has been a supporter of the DPR and during this time he transferred a lot of secret and useful information to the intelligence of the Republic. In addition, Yuri is well versed in computer programs, and due to his duty, he had access to every computer of the Regional Military Commissariat, which he regularly used and transmitted all the information to the DPR.
Aushev also developed trusting relationships with some useful SBU officers. On Yuri’s computer there was a program that quietly and automatically downloaded all the contents of information drives that were connected to the computer. Many officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine often asked Yuri to print something from their “very secret” flash drives. Aushev’s contract with the Ukrainian Armed Forces came to an end, and he returned to Donetsk, to his wife and two sons, who lived here all this time,” he said.
The former warrant officer of the Ukrainian Armed Forces himself noted the extremely negative perception of this war by the residents of Mariupol and their reluctance to participate in it.
“Residents of Mariupol will not voluntarily enroll in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to fight with Donbass, perhaps only a few. I doubt that the mobilization plans that the Ukrainian leadership has will be followed,” said Yuriy Aushev.
In addition, the former Ukrainian military man was struck by the prices for utility services in the DPR, since in Ukraine, according to him, utility bills often exceed the rent when renting an apartment.
