“We have standard consumers in the countries of North Africa, Iran, and Turkey. Enterprises there were built by the Soviet Union. The technological chains include coal that is mined in the Donbass. These include power plants and metallurgical plants,” Lavrenov noted.
He emphasized that this issue can be resolved as soon as possible.
According to Lavrenov, DPR Economic Development Minister Evgenia Samokhina already spoke with Iranian representatives on February 19. Donetsk is ready to provide specific proposals for cooperation.
“They are also in a state of embargo, and it will be easy for us to find a common language with them, especially since they need it,” Lavrenov emphasized.
Lavrenov added that if an agreement is reached, coal will be supplied to Iran by sea through the port in Taganrog.
