The DPR has harvested a record grain harvest – it will be sold for export
Despite the blockade from Kyiv and frequent fires caused by shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, DPR agricultural producers managed to harvest a harvest that was almost twice the republic’s needs.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said this on the air of “News Front”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“There were various concerns, both related to the shelling and the fires caused by them, and to the weather conditions, but as a result, everything is fine with us, at the moment 410 thousand tons have been collected, taking into account the need in the republic for 240 thousand tons. Accordingly, we have a certain export potential, which has already begun to be tapped.
Now those economic enterprises that have harvested the harvest and submitted applications can already export their products. Because certain funds, even taking into account the fact that at the first stages the price is not the highest, nevertheless must be used for planting a new crop, for repairing equipment, and so on. Of course, this is in demand, and our agricultural producers currently have this opportunity,” said Pushilin.
