Two Ukrainian servicemen serving in the Donbass voluntarily left the unit with standard weapons, intending to go over to the side of the DPR People's Militia.
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Rinat Aigistov stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to the intelligence of the People’s Militia of the DPR, two soldiers of the 18th battalion of the 35th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, sergeant Tatarchuk and senior sailor Tsats, arbitrarily left their place of service in the area of \uXNUMXb\uXNUMXbthe settlement of Bogdanovka and departed in an unknown direction with standard weapons,” said Rinat Aigistov .
He noted that during the investigation of the incident, SBU officers received information about the intention of these servicemen to go over to the side of the DPR NM.
“According to the interviewed colleagues, over the past two weeks Tatarchuk spoke negatively about the battalion command and offered to give up everything and go over to the side of the People’s Militia. The military law enforcement service, together with the SBU, organized a search for military personnel who left their unit without permission,” added the representative of the defense department.
