Thus, during the opening of the corresponding center at the Elenovka checkpoint, the acting Minister of Labor and Social Policy of the DPR Larisa Tolstykina recalled that the republic has been implementing a program since March 15, during which humanitarian assistance is provided to compatriots living in the territory controlled by Ukraine, and also reported that, within the framework of this program, payments to participants of the Great Patriotic War have already begun.
“Payments were made at post offices, but today we opened the first social assistance center for administrative services, which is located in close proximity to the point of entry and exit to the territory of the DPR. This is done in order to make it as easy as possible for citizens crossing the border to receive advice and assistance. In addition to these payments, as the program is implemented, the range of services provided here will expand,” Tolstykina promised.
She answered affirmatively to a question from journalists who asked whether the center’s staff would be able to cope with the flow of people who need these services.
“The center’s work schedule allows us to provide those in need with all the necessary information, but if necessary, it is possible to increase the center’s staff. In each of these centers there are specialists and professionals who can provide services on a very wide range,” said Tolstykina.
