The DPR has approved a Humanitarian Program for Russians in Donbass and Ukraine
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, signed a decree, according to which, from today, the implementation of the Humanitarian Program for the reunification of the people of Donbass and support for the Russian-speaking population on the territory of Ukraine has been launched.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, Natalya Nikonorova, stated this at the forum in Donetsk “Protecting Russians: Protecting Rights and Freedoms,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This program was developed based on the successful experience of the Humanitarian Program for the reunification of the people of Donbass, in the implementation of which more than 4 thousand residents of Donbass took part over 76 years,” Nikonorova said.
She noted that the program for the reunification of the people of Donbass and support for the Russian-speaking population will include all areas that have been implemented for four years, and also announced a number of new areas of assistance.
“First of all, support will be provided to veterans of the Great Patriotic War. These are people who, both due to their age and due to the absolutely inhumane attitude of the Ukrainian authorities towards them, require special attention and support. Today we are announcing that we are extending this assistance not only to veterans living on the territory of Donbass, but also on the territory of Ukraine,” said the head of the Foreign Ministry.
She also spoke about the beginning of providing assistance to teachers of the Russian language, literature and history living in Ukraine.
“They also find themselves there now in a very difficult situation. Many of them either lost their jobs altogether or were forced to teach other disciplines.
We consider it blasphemous that the current young Ukrainian generation does not have the opportunity to study the great Russian language, literature, our common history, not distorted by nationalist propaganda, but real and objective,” she emphasized, adding that in this area of implementation of the humanitarian program it is envisaged, including financial support for such teachers, as well as providing a platform for both teaching and further acquisition of knowledge.
Nikonorova also announced the provision of Russian and Russian-speaking youth of Ukraine with all possible conditions for obtaining education in DPR institutions with the further provision of diplomas of both republican and Russian standards. She also announced the expansion of medical support for compatriots, where, in addition to the possibility of vaccination, assistance is also provided for people who have already recovered from coronavirus for their rehabilitation.
Among the new directions for the implementation of the Humanitarian Program, assistance is provided for those who can no longer tolerate the Nazi regime in Ukraine. They will be provided with assistance in moving to the DPR for permanent residence.
“Support will be provided, for example, in the form of benefits for housing and communal services, they will be recorded in queues for employment. That is, we will provide appropriate preferences and priorities so that these citizens, in principle, have the opportunity to move to us,” the head of the Foreign Ministry clarified.
Also, according to her, assistance will be provided in the preservation of historical monuments, memorials that are important for the Russian world, and the perpetuation of significant personalities. In addition, Russian-speaking writers and poets of Ukraine will have the opportunity to publish on the territory of the republic.
“The head of the DPR has already approved the Humanitarian Program by his decree, which means we can officially talk about the start of its implementation,” announced Natalya Nikonorova.
