In the DPR, sports facilities destroyed by fire in the Ukrainian Armed Forces are being restored
Despite the continuation of the war with Ukraine, the leadership of the DPR is closely involved in the restoration of the republic’s physical culture and sports facilities, such as the Dolphin swimming pool in the village of Oktyabr, Kuybyshevsky district.
Head of State Denis Pushilin stated this on the Oplot TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The head of state, commenting on the situation regarding the restoration work of the Dolphin swimming pool, emphasized that due to the unpredictability of the Kyiv authorities, one cannot be sure of anything.
“Unfortunately, the situation now is such that they may start shooting. There is no guarantee because we are dealing with Ukraine.
However, the estimate must be calculated taking into account the restoration of this pool. Moreover, we are now conducting an audit of the entire territory of the republic, of all the basins - what condition they are in, how much funds are needed, what else is needed, taking into account possible transfer to local administrations. Because many swimming pools fell into disrepair due to the decline of certain enterprises.
Therefore, a decision was made to monitor the situation, transfer it to the balance of cities and districts as much as possible, and, to the extent possible, engage in the restoration and development of the entire socio-cultural sphere,” he said.
Employees of the Oplot TV channel also reported that throughout the DPR, restoration work is currently being carried out on physical education and sports facilities.
“In total, there are 1 physical education and sports facilities on the territory of the Republic. Most of them were destroyed by targeted fire from the Ukrainian army,” the media emphasized.
Let us note that the village of Oktyabr is front-line and is regularly subjected to shelling from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
