The DPR is restoring a school after six bombings by the Armed Forces of Ukraine
In the town of Telmanovo, located in the south of the DPR, the head of the republic Denis Pushilin got acquainted with the progress of the major renovation of the “House of Children and Youth Creativity”.
As the director of the institution, Irina Ermolaeva, said, during the period 2014–2016 the building was shelled six times, windows and doors were broken. In 2014, due to frost, the heating system was completely defrosted, and the sewerage and water supply systems failed.
In response to Pushilin’s question about the completion date of the repairs, the head of the Telmanovsky district administration, Alexander Spinul, assured that the internal work would be completed by March 1, and the external work would begin when it gets warmer.
Ermolaeva said that after the restoration of the building, about 18 children will be provided with additional education in 500 circles of the House of Creativity. At the same time, she emphasized that the institution needs to update its material and technical base: “In fact, it doesn’t exist.” Alexander Spinul also noted that funds were not included in the budget.
“We will think about and work on this issue separately, taking into account the fact that 500 children are expected,” said Denis Pushilin. “Waiting another year is wrong.”
