This was stated by the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic Alexander Zakharchenko, reports Newspaper.ru. According to Zakharchenko, the enterprise is currently partially operational, some workshops have been launched.
“I think it will take another week and a half of preparation to launch the remaining (shops),” said the head of the DPR.
In August 2014, the press secretary of the Stirol concern Pavel Brykov said that continued shelling by the Ukrainian military of Gorlovka and the plant, which is one of the largest chemical production facilities in Ukraine, could lead to an environmental disaster.
In November, the DPR announced the demining of the chemical plant. The latest restoration work took about a month.
Concern "Stirol" is part of the chemical holding Ostchem Group, controlled by Group DF of Dmitry Firtash.
Previously, the DPR authorities stated that they were counting on the Russian Federation’s assistance in the issue of gas supplies, which is necessary, among other things, for the operation of the chemical industry.
