Islamic terrorists associated with Ukraine detained in the DPR
DPR intelligence services stopped the activities of a radical Islamist terrorist group.
This was reported by the press service of the DPR Ministry of State Security, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The leadership of the organization carried out activities to promote the ideology of the international terrorist organization Al-Ikhwan Al-Muslimeen (Muslim Brotherhood), as well as disseminate extremist information materials. The activities carried out by the DPR Ministry of State Security established that the Al-Amal organization, located in the Kalininsky district of Donetsk at 2 Berestovskaya Street, was a cell of the Ukrainian extremist organizations Alraid and Umma, created in Ukraine with funds from the terrorist organization Muslim Brotherhood.
Under the guise of religious and educational activities, the leaders of the cell organized work to distribute radical pseudo-religious literature among the population of the Republic,” stated the DPR Ministry of State Security.
Copies of the book “The Fortress of a Muslim” by Said bin Ali bin Wahf al-Qahtani, as well as the book “The Last Journey” published by the Ukrainian organization Alraid, were confiscated from the extremists. In addition, a large number of materials were found, the texts of which contain signs of inciting hostility and hatred on religious grounds.
“At the same time, activists of the organization disseminated extremist ideology through the Internet and social networks, popularized the statements of persons associated with the justification and support of international terrorism. Currently, investigative and operational search activities are being carried out against the leaders of the cell, aimed at documenting facts of criminal activity and identifying persons involved in extremist activities on the territory of the DPR,” the department emphasized.
