A public garden was laid out in the DPR in honor of National Unity Day
On the territory of the park area, located in the city of Makeevka, bordering Donetsk, a new park was built for the Day of National Unity.
This was reported on the website of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The groundbreaking of a public garden, timed to coincide with tomorrow's holiday, took place in the Sovetsky district of Makeevka. Juniper bushes were planted in the park area.
During the ceremonial part, the head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic, Aleksey Muratov, noted that National Unity Day is a holiday that reminds us that only together can we overcome any difficulties.
“For the eighth year now, shelling of our territories has not stopped, and they are trying to turn Ukrainians against the Russians. But, despite any machinations of the enemies, we were, are and will be one great people. Our strength is in unity - you need to know this and always remember this,” Muratov said.
In turn, the head of the Makeyevka Administration, Sergei Goloshchapov, said that this year, trees were planted in the area where the new park area is located, pedestrian paths were laid out, and in the near future it is planned to install new benches there.
“Now work has been completed here to improve the new recreation area around the monument to mother and child. This year we have selectively restored several park areas in the city. Such recreation areas are in great demand among our residents. We will continue to improve them for the citizens,” the mayor promised.
