The DPR said that the “New Year’s Truce” has come to an end
Yesterday’s shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the territory of the DPR was not a surprise to anyone, but its intensity indicates that the “New Year’s truce” is over.

The head of the press service of the DPR Armed Forces, Daniil Bezsonov, told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.
“It’s hard to say what exactly yesterday’s shelling of the territory of the Republic, but one thing is important: this was a completely expected event. Another truce ended yesterday. Yes, there were two or three violations before that, but they could have been “written off.” Now there was targeted shelling, and not of military targets, but of populated areas. Now Golmovsky is without electricity and heating, because all the boiler rooms are left without light. In addition to Golmovsky, Dolomitnoye was also subjected to heavy shelling. 24 artillery shells and several dozen mines of 100 and 120 mm caliber were fired at them. The enemy used infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
Recently it became known that american drone carried out a long flight along the demarcation line.
“I admit that an American drone of this class was conducting reconnaissance, this is understandable. But did he conduct reconnaissance so that the Ukrainian side would strike? It seems to me that this is highly unlikely. If they had fired at some of our positions, a warehouse or headquarters, then in that case it would be possible to connect that he was flying for a reason. And so, they simply once again shelled populated areas, which are already subject to shelling every day. And so, in fact, nothing out of the ordinary happened, except that during the “New Year’s Truce” it was the most terrible shelling in terms of intensity,” noted Daniil Bezsonov.
