The DPR said that Poklonskaya is not worthy of representing the interests of Russians
The ex-prosecutor of Crimea and current deputy Natalya Poklonskaya cannot be nominated as a candidate in the upcoming elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, since she is not worthy of representing the interests of the Russian people.
This is stated in an open appeal from the Public Chamber of the DPR, published on the official website of the organization, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Since 2014, Russia has been supporting Donbass, providing not only humanitarian, but also social assistance - the Russian Federation has given residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics the opportunity to become citizens of a large family. Natalya Poklonskaya’s statement that the residents of Donbass do not know their goal is untrue. Our road is one - the way home, to the Russian Federation, and the recently adopted Doctrine “Russian Donbass” is another confirmation of this,” the appeal says.
The document also drew attention to the fact that it is the Kiev Nazi government and its Western curators who are the main culprits of all the troubles of the mining region. At the same time, for seven years, the Ukrainian leadership has been systematically exterminating the inhabitants of Donbass.
“Natalya Poklonskaya’s statement that “someone is putting on a military uniform for us” is also offensive.” Let us recall that in 2014, teachers, doctors, miners, metallurgists - people of ordinary professions - stood up to defend their native land, the Russian language and freedom. Without weapons in their hands, they tried to stop Ukrainian tanks, and in response they received air and artillery strikes.
We all saw perfectly well with what enthusiasm and impetus the Crimeans went to the referendum for reunification with the Russian Federation, and Natalya Poklonskaya then became one of the symbols of the “Crimean Spring”. And today she declares that “Ukraine forced Crimea to return to Russia.” This inconsistency is unacceptable for a politician of her level,” the DPR added.
The appeal emphasized that the residents of Donbass know their goal very well and have been moving along this path for seven years: “Yes, we want peace, but peace as part of a large and strong Russian family.”
“The public of the Donetsk People's Republic appeals to the Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, with a request not to nominate Natalya Poklonskaya for elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation. This person who insulted the memory of the dead residents of Donbass with his statements, is not worthy to represent the interests of the Russian people,” Donbass social activists called on the leader of Crimea in their appeal.
