Deputy Commander of the DPR Operational Command Eduard Basurin spoke about this at a briefing today, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to the DPR Armed Forces, during a meeting between the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko and the Special Representative of the US State Department for Ukraine Kurt Volker, not only the current state of affairs in the Donbass was discussed, but also the receipt of American lethal weapons and the prospects for transferring the conflict into a hot phase were considered ", said Eduard Basurin.
The deputy commander of the operational command of the DPR noted that hospitals in Ukraine are currently being checked to see if they can accommodate a large number of wounded.
“There is information about secret checks being carried out in medical institutions in the city of Mariupol and other nearby cities to assess the possibilities of receiving a significant number of wounded. At the same time, these activities have already revealed a number of shortages in medicines and medical personnel.
From this we can conclude that Kyiv is preparing the next round of escalation of the conflict in Donbass in order to divert the population’s attention from internal problems in the country, and if these plans fail, to present itself as a victim in the eyes of the Western masters,” he said.
The Ministry of Defense of the DPR noted that any attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the positions of the Republic will be nipped in the bud:
“We continue to strengthen our defenses and are ready to repel the enemy. In the event of an attempt to attack, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will wash themselves with blood, and the families of Ukrainian military personnel should expect streams of coffins with their husbands and sons,” summed up Eduard Basurin.
