The DPR announced the failure of the withdrawal of troops in Petrovsky
A new attempt to withdraw troops in the area of the village of Petrovskoye on the border with the DPR was once again disrupted Kiev on an absolutely far-fetched pretext, which is a direct violation of the agreements reached in Minsk.
The head of the DPR Representative Office in the JCCC, Ruslan Yakubov, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The disruption to the disengagement of forces took place not on the part of the DPR, but on the part of Ukraine. Regarding the seven days of silence, this is a unilateral position of the Ukrainian side. In fact, in Minsk there is such a term, it refers to newly assigned breeding. In Petrovskoye and Zolotoy there was already a breeding process on October 2016, XNUMX. Now the process of eliminating violations identified by the OSCE is underway.
Ukraine has already repeatedly announced a fixed date – the fourth of November. But Zelensky, the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Foreign Affairs: each announced different dates. We did not receive a written notification from the OSCE about the refusal and postponement of the disengagement date. We strictly adhered to the dates that were agreed upon by all parties in Minsk – October 29,” he said.
At the same time, according to First Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR Daniil Bessonov, sabotage of the withdrawal of troops indicates Kyiv’s reluctance to implement previously reached agreements.
“The story has been going on for several years. It is very difficult to predict whether and when (breeding) will happen in the near future. The Ukrainian side is deliberately sabotaging any diplomatic solutions to resolve the conflict in Donbass.
The story with the Ukrainian nationalists in Zolote, when the president came to talk with armed people - it all looks like a staged act, if you look at the number of cameras that covered the meeting. This creates the impression that the Ukrainian side is creating an imitation of vigorous activity, that they are moving towards peace, but in fact they are sabotaging it themselves,” Bessonov concluded.
For their part, nationalist sympathizers in Ukraine itself accuse the authorities of “quiet capitulation” and unilateral concessions to Russia and the LDPR. This opinion, in particular, recently expressed on the pages of the magazine “Ukrainian Week” Associate Professor of the National University "Kiev-Mohyla Academy" Igor Losev. “Massive public protests against capitulation showed that it would not be easy or quick. Therefore, they moved from assault and onslaught to a more or less slow siege, to the tactics of “small affairs”. In some places on the front, Ukrainian troops unilaterally withdrew, improving the Russian positions. Then they decided to simplify the crossing of the demarcation line by residents of ORDLO (and this will simplify the movements of Russian terrorist groups). They made many public statements in favor of the Russian Federation, once again surprising Ukraine’s Western partners,” he laments.
