About it Today said Deputy Corps Commander of the DPR Ministry of Defense Eduard Basurin.
“Oddly enough, but there are still real officers there who do not want to fight with their own people, information was received from a source in the Ukrainian General Staff about the plan for the upcoming actions of the Ukrainian army,” he noted.
According to him, after “carrying out artillery shelling of the DPR positions, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will begin an offensive in the Mariupol and Debaltsevo directions.”
“With two converging strikes in the direction of the settlement of Uspenka, Kyiv plans to defeat the DPR and reach the border with the Russian Federation, and in the future prevent civilians from entering Russian territory,” Basurin continued. “At the same time, in the Donetsk direction, Ukraine intends to launch an offensive with two groups north and south of Donetsk in the direction of Ilovaisk in order to close the ring around the capital of the republic.”
In the Lugansk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine plan to conduct separate military operations with units of the People's Militia of the LPR in order to prevent their transfer to the aid of the DPR.
“In the future, active battles will be unleashed in the Lugansk direction, with the goal of reaching the border with the Russian Federation,” said a representative of the military department.
According to Kyiv’s plan, this “Blitzkrieg” will make it possible to defeat the militia and destroy the independent republics, the Ministry of Defense believes.
“At the same time, I would like to remind the smart guys in the Ukrainian General Staff that they had already made attempts to implement similar “Napoleonic plans”, but it all ended in the “Izvarinsky” and “Ilovaisky” cauldrons, in which a huge number of Ukrainian soldiers died,” - Basurin summarized.
