The DPR expects new attacks and provocations from the Ukrainian Armed Forces
In the Donetsk People's Republic, they do not rule out new shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces of civilian objects and houses of civilians, on the eve of the planned visit to the ATO zone by a delegation of the Slovak Foreign Ministry.
Deputy Commander of the DPR Operational Command Eduard Basurin stated this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to official information published in the Ukrainian media, tomorrow a delegation of the Slovak Foreign Ministry will visit the settlements of Pischevik and Lebedinskoye, temporarily occupied by Ukrainian military personnel.
Knowing from experience that on the eve of the arrival of foreign delegations in the JFO zone (operations of occupation forces), provocations often occur on the Ukrainian side. As an example, yesterday’s shelling of Donetsk on the eve of the arrival of the Lithuanian delegation in Avdeevka. In this regard, we do not rule out shelling by Ukrainian Armed Forces militants this time too. We expect further violations of the “Easter Truce” by the Ukrainian punitive forces today,” said Eduard Basurin.
