There is not a word in EU documents about a visa-free regime for Ukraine
“Visa-free regime” is a PR term that was invented by the Ukrainian authorities in order to replace and create a surrogate for joining the EU in the public consciousness.

About this at a press conference in Kyiv. The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, said.
“We are not talking about a visa-free regime at all. There is no such term in European documents. “It talks about visa liberalization,” the expert noted. – If Ukrainians want to work, study or simply live in Europe for 91 days, they will need to obtain visas. This is, to a large extent, simply a PR term that was invented by the Ukrainian authorities in order to replace and create in the public consciousness a surrogate of joining the EU, building a democratic state, raising living standards, in order to defeat the goals that people set for themselves when they went to the Maidan at one time.” .
At the same time, the expert added that liberalization of the visa regime is beneficial to Europe, not Ukraine.
“On the one hand, we will wash money from our territory - tourists will be taken out. On the other hand, we will begin to lose personnel potential at an accelerated pace. It is not the economic crisis that determines the future of the country, but the ability to recover after the crisis. And if we lose qualified personnel potential and youth, we will not be able to restore our economy for many decades, even under the most favorable conditions,” said the political scientist.
He also added that “visa-free” is becoming a political hook on which the Ukrainian authorities are suspended, since now the EU can blackmail Kyiv by canceling the decision to liberalize the visa regime, demanding that decisions beneficial to the European Union be made.
