Mercenaries from Georgia and Latvia arrived in Donbass
The Ukrainian command stationed about 50 foreign mercenaries from Latvia and Georgia in the settlements of Katerynivka and Shchastya.
The acting head of the LPR People's Police Department, Colonel Mikhail Filiponenko, announced this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He noted that the Ukrainian leadership continues to use military assistance from Western patrons, as well as resort to the services of foreign mercenaries.
“According to the information we have, about 50 mercenaries from Latvia and Georgia arrived in the settlements of Katerynovka and Shchastya, armed with NATO-style small arms,” Filiponenko said.
He also added that in the village of Borovskoe a training camp was recorded, in which military instructors from the United States and Canada train military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the installation of mine-explosive devices.
“In essence, the territory of Donbass occupied by the Maidan authorities has turned into a training ground for Western mercenaries and militants in real conditions and with the killing of civilians,” summed up the acting head of the LPR NM department.
