In Donbass, three dry land mines were blown up in a friendly minefield
In the zone of the so-called “Joint Forces Operation”, three Ukrainian servicemen sent to combat positions were blown up in a minefield set by their colleagues.
This was reported by the press service of the LPR National News Service, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Taking advantage of the truce agreements, the commander of the 59th brigade, Shapovalov, gave instructions to his subordinates to retrofit and mine the area in the area of the combat positions of the brigade units, which in turn leads to tragic consequences for the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Thus, our intelligence noted the movement of the personnel of the militants of the 81st airmobile brigade to an observation post in the area of the settlement of Novoluganskoye, who were sent to the area of responsibility of the 59th mechanized brigade for reinforcement, due to the lack of personnel at the front line of defense.
Without updated maps of the minefields, while moving, three so-called paratroopers wandered into mine-explosive barriers and were blown up by a mine previously installed by the engineer platoon of the 59th brigade. One Ukrainian militant died on the spot, and captain Voitenko and soldier Alekseenko died from their wounds without waiting for the necessary medical care,” the report says.
At the same time, Ukrainian official media reported that Ukrainian military personnel were killed as a result of an explosion by an “unidentified explosive device.”
“According to preliminary data, at about 10 a.m. on February 14, while moving in the Novolugansk area to check the performance of service and change military personnel in firing positions, as a result of an explosion on an unidentified explosive device, three military personnel were injured incompatible with life: captain Alexander Voitenko (1974 birth), soldier Vyacheslav Alekseenko (born in 1987) and senior soldier Dmitry Mironenko (born in 1994). The fighters died on the spot,” the press service of the President of Ukraine reported.
Vladimir Zelensky demanded an “immediate investigation” from the army leaders, the results of which were ordered to be reported “tomorrow.”
