A local resident was blown up by a Ukrainian mine in Donbass
Due to uncontrolled mining by the Ukrainian military in the territories adjacent to the contact line, a local resident’s tractor was blown up by a Ukrainian mine.
This was announced by Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Due to the indiscriminate mining of areas near the contact line by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the lack of maps of minefields, on July 3, a tractor was blown up by a mine,” he said.
According to a representative of the defense department, as a result of the explosion, a tractor driver born in 1984 received injuries of varying severity, who is currently in the central district hospital of Stanitsa Luganskaya.
Donetsk journalist Sergei Makarenko also clarified in his Telegram- channel that the incident occurred during an attempt to extinguish a fire in a nearby forest.
“Near Stanitsa Luhanska, where the withdrawal of weapons ended last week, a mined forest caught fire.
A powerful explosion occurred as rescuers plowed the ground around the fire site. As a result of the explosion, a forestry tractor driver was injured and concussed. The victim was hospitalized,” he said.
