A relative of a Ukrainian commander died of alcoholism in Donbass
In the so-called “OOS” zone, a relative of a high-ranking Ukrainian soldier died as a result of a blood clot caused by chronic alcoholism.
The official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Dmitry Astrakhan, spoke about this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We continue to record cases of non-combat losses among military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Joint Forces Operation zone.
So, yesterday evening, as a result of a blood clot, an officer of the communications center of the headquarters of the OTG “Vostok”, Captain E.N. Dzhur, died. The body of the deceased was taken to the morgue of the village of Volnovakha. It is important to note that this serviceman suffered from chronic alcoholism and was struck while drinking alcohol in his office.
However, according to the information we have, the serviceman is a distant relative of the commander of the OTG “Vostok” Sokolov, which allowed him to be permanently intoxicated while performing his official duties at the headquarters of the OTG.
Moreover, family ties with the command contributed to the fact that the investigation materials indicate the recording of Dzhur’s death, allegedly while he was at the forefront of the 53rd mechanized brigade in the area of the settlement of Novotroitskoye,” the report says.
Moreover, the department emphasized that they plan to present the drunken officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for a state award as someone who died while performing special tasks.
