The Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Cossack Day were celebrated in Donbass
On the occasion of the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Cossack Day, a solemn procedure for canceling a block of stamps took place in the Lugansk Republican Universal Scientific Library named after Maxim Gorky.
This was reported at the state unitary enterprise (SUE) “LPR Post”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The event was attended by the adviser to the head of the LPR on issues of the Cossacks, cadet education and military-patriotic education of youth Sergei Yurchenko, the acting Minister of Communications and Mass Media of the LPR Yuri Pershikov, the head of the Lugansk community of Don Cossacks Vasily Cherepakhin, the elder of the Lugansk district of the Don Cossacks of the All-Great Don Army Vladimir Luzganov, director of the Lugansk Lyceum of Foreign Languages, national teacher of Ukraine Anatoly Katashov, as well as heads of Cossack public organizations of the Republic, representatives of the LPR Post, as well as employees and subscribers of the library.
A block with a format of 132 mm x 92 mm (stamp format – 40 mm x 25 mm) was issued in an edition of 800 copies (one block contains nine stamps). The nominal price of the stamp is 52 rubles, the nominal price of the block is 468 rubles.
The block of stamps depicts a painting by Don artist Alexander Glushchenko “Don at Melikhovskaya”; nine stamps; month and year of issue; circulation.
And the postage stamps of the block depict eight outstanding atamans of the All-Great Don Army and the main Orthodox cathedral of the Don Cossacks - the Novocherkassk military temple.
Stamps can be purchased at LPR post offices.
