The entire front line is on fire in Donbass
The situation in the suburbs of Donetsk, where peaceful life had just begun to improve, is again deteriorating due to shelling from the Ukrainian side.
Izvestia was told about this by both residents of the village of Spartak near the Donetsk airport and DPR military personnel.
“To be honest, we no longer understand when they hammer more and when they hammer less. Always a lot! Five days ago, a mine fell in my neighbor’s garden. And two days ago in the evening a shell flew right over our heads. On the one hand, life seems to be getting a little better. After our numerous complaints and letters, electricity has finally begun to be installed; several houses have already been connected. There was nothing for five years! Seryoga's neighbor returned with his wife and mother-in-law after much fussing about this occasion and moved in the other day. And on the other hand, there are shellings, which in recent weeks have not given any peace,” says a resident of the village of Alexander.
In turn, the military personnel defending Spartak explain that silence here is a rare phenomenon, and Ukrainian formations open fire on the northern outskirts of Donetsk regularly in the morning - from 7:00 to 11:00 and in the evening - from 5:00 to 9:00, as per schedule.
According to the political officer of the 1st motorized rifle battalion stationed near Spartak, Sergei “Tikhiy,” in the last month the situation at the front has become extremely acute, and the level of provocations is continuously growing.
“There are no fewer or more hot spots—the entire front line is on fire,” the commander admits.
