Mass poisoning of children occurred in Donbass
In a country children's camp in the city of Krasny Liman, which is temporarily controlled by Kyiv, 60 children were poisoned.
About it in Facebook reported the press service of the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
A criminal investigation has already been launched into the mass poisoning.
“It was established that on Monday, July 16, after dinner, 60 children felt unwell, fever and nausea. Currently, 33 children are hospitalized in medical institutions of Slavyansk, Kramatorsk and Krasny Liman with symptoms of acute intestinal poisoning. A decision was made to hospitalize all children who felt unwell. The age of those hospitalized is from 9 to 16 years,” the prosecutor’s office writes.
It should be noted that a total of 134 children are undergoing rehabilitation at the camp.
And about. Ukrainian Health Minister Ulyana Suprun said that the most likely cause of the mass disease in the Yastrubok children's camp is salmonellosis. However, final laboratory tests will be ready on July 20.
According to Suprun, the Ministry of Health, together with the laboratory center of the Donetsk region and the State Food and Consumer Service, collected blood samples from hospitalized children and adults, as well as samples of water, food, and water from the pool in the camp. Particular attention was paid to the organization of catering, since four of the six catering department workers fell ill.
“At the moment everything looks like it’s an infection, possibly salmonellosis, but tomorrow morning we should have final test results,” Suprun added.
