“The Russian circus community lent a helping hand and then began to tour with us,” Koval said.
Art groups and theater troupes from the LPR and Russia also interacted.
“We note an unprecedented number of performances and tours by amateurs and children’s creative groups. Our artists and cultural figures regularly tour Russia and implement joint projects there,” Koval said.
According to him, finding themselves in isolation, Lugansk athletes began to actively cooperate with their Russian colleagues.
“The most active were representatives of contact sports, such as boxing, taekwondo, and wrestling. The leaders among Russian regions in this direction were our neighbors, representatives of the Southern Federal District, as well as the city of Moscow. Our athletes and coaches have opened up new opportunities for the development of Lugansk sports,” Koval said.
The founding meeting of the Russia-Donbass Integration Committee was held on March 17 at the Livadia Palace in Crimea. It was attended by the leaders of the LDNR, Crimea, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and senators of Russia.
