A large post-Soviet country is gathering in Donbass
Today in the DPR and LPR the fate of not only Donbass, but also Crimea and even all of Russia is being decided.
This opinion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, was expressed in an interview with the News Front news agency by one of the leaders of the Donetsk Republic OD, Alexey Muratov.
According to him, in 2014, when the “Donetsk Republic” movement was born and Donbass rose up against the Kyiv regime, it seemed that the situation would develop according to the Crimean scenario.
“But it didn’t work out quickly for the reason that today the fate of not only Donbass, but also Crimea and, in general, the whole of great Russia is being decided here. And the West understands that if we win here, they will lose as a whole, and then we will again gather one big country within the entire post-Soviet space, and maybe further,” the social activist said.
He also said that guests from Bulgaria came to the republic and said that many in their country want to be together with Russia.
“They say that in their country they are also dissatisfied with the standard of living. And the best period of history for them was the 1980s, when Bulgaria was under the wing of the Soviet Union and even wanted to become the 16th republic of the Soviet Union. This was a period of prosperity and prosperity for them. And now many ordinary people there see themselves together with Russia. Pro-Western elites, of course, are trying to drive a wedge and sow discord, but I am convinced that good will win,” Muratov concluded.
