In the DPR, a song and video by Donetsk musician and militia member Sergei Lysenko “Music of the Streets” was released, telling about the events of 2014.

The song talks about the difficult fate of a simple worker from Donbass, into whose house war came in 2014, and he was forced to defend his homeland with arms in hand.

“I lived in high spirits, I didn’t think about politics

I turned the wheel for myself and was a happy parent.

But the revolution - and the president ran away

Nobody expected such events.

And I lead refugees who don’t know how to live and where,” the text says.

“It really hurts for Donbass, that’s probably why such songs are written. Somehow they come on their own, I hear them with ready-made music and words,” said Lysenko.

Note that the video was created by the musician himself. Many of the frames, shot by Sergei Lysenko personally, tell the story of the terrible events of 2014-2015.
