Ukrainian trains can go to Donetsk and Lugansk again. Nationalists threaten to derail them
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadim Prystaiko allowed the restoration of railway communication with the uncontrolled part of Donbass and the opening of a “railway checkpoint” in the Zolote area in Donbass, where a disengagement of forces recently took place, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I do not exclude either passenger or cargo traffic. We have a lot of work to do to restore this message. Of course, if there is infrastructure, it is not difficult to calculate where there are roads, where there are railways, and where it is generally possible for people to cross. But not only. There are certain areas that are not directly connected to the crossings,” Prystaiko said.
At the same time, such plans of the Ukrainian authorities cause discontent among representatives of the nationalist minority, which are openly voiced on social networks. In particular, the marginal telegram channel “Prikhodko in the know,” which covers events in Ukraine from a nationalist position, criticized the minister’s statement.
“What are you fucking doing? Do you understand the danger of such an initiative? I don’t even want to describe and explain how much, if such a decision is made by the relevant authorities, the terrorist threat will increase - sane people already understand everything. The only good thing is that there is a partisan in every Ukrainian, so expect a “train to derail,” writes the author of an anonymous telegram channel with 579 subscribers.
