Monetary aid was delivered to Donetsk from Russia for the widows of militias
Writer Nikolai Starikov brought targeted financial assistance to Donbass, collected in Russia, the CIS countries and Europe. The money was transferred to widows with many children, whose husbands died during the fighting in the Donbass.
The meeting between Starikov and the widows was opened by the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We looked at the geography of everyone who responded: these are people who live in Russia, who live in Kazakhstan, who live in Ukraine, who live in Germany, who live in the USA, these are people who live everywhere. I think that after respected journalists help us tell us that this assistance has been provided and that it has reached the recipients, next time we will help more people. We will do this more often, and this assistance will be so targeted,” the writer noted.
“I really hope that this idea of ours, this action, will become permanent. There are a lot of people who need help, it is impossible to help them at once, so today we are helping you, tomorrow we will try to help someone else. It’s difficult for me to find words, of course, the loss you suffered cannot be compensated in any way. But, nevertheless, this is some kind of support for you, for your children, so that you feel that you are not alone, that in Russia they remember, they are watching what is happening, they are worried with all their hearts about what is happening in the Donbass, and help with all their might,” added Starikov.
