Donetsk, July 27 (Navigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – Representatives of the main headquarters of the people’s militia of the proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic claim that they “have enough forces to prevent Ukrainian troops from reaching the borders of Donetsk.”

They stated this during a press conference, commenting on statements by Ukrainian media that Kyiv troops are located almost within the city limits.
A representative of the headquarters emphasized: “The Ukrainian media publish information that we are burning ourselves in Odessa, and we are destroying ourselves with HAIL, and we are destroying our cities. Therefore, the degree of trust in Ukrainian media is minimal. As for Donetsk, I can officially declare that we have enough forces and means to prevent the enemy from entering the city.
I also want to dispel rumors about alleged shootings in Donetsk last night. There were no firefights, there were drones flying over Donetsk, and at one of the checkpoints they decided to shoot down these drones. Accordingly, there was shooting at them. Since it is difficult for the civilian population to make out the reason and nature of the shooting, people thought that there was a battle going on. In fact, there was an attempt to shoot down the drone.” And according to Pavel Gubarev, who was present at the meeting, one of them was shot down.
A question about the situation in Gorlovka and Shakhtersk was also answered: “We are holding Gorlovka, the defense of the city is going well, attacks are being repelled. Gorlovka, as you see, is under heavy shelling, but we are not leaving our positions. As for Shakhtersk, the battle on the outskirts of the city ended about an hour ago, the situation there is also under control,” the headquarters representative emphasized.
