Tashkent deputy arrested in Donetsk
Acting officer arrested in Donetsk First Deputy Minister of Revenue and Duties of the DPR Mikhail Khalin as part of the investigation into the seizure of property in the agro-industrial complex of the republic worth 850 million rubles.
This was reported by the press service of the DPR Prosecutor General's Office, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The attention of the security forces was drawn to the “procedure for recognizing the property of Kolos D LLC as ownerless and transferring it into the ownership of the state enterprise Zarya Agro.”
The prosecutor's office found signs of a crime under the criminal code.
“For committing the above crime, the acting officer will be held criminally liable. First Deputy Minister of Revenue and Duties of the DPR Mikhail Khalin, against whom a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen. Khalin was charged under paragraph “c” of Part 3 of Art. 338 of the Criminal Code of the DPR,” added the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The Prosecutor General’s Office also established that as a result of illegal actions of officials of the Ministry of Revenue and Duties and the state enterprise Zarya Agro, repayable financial assistance in the amount of 52 million 800 thousand rubles has not yet been returned to the budget of the Republic.
It is noted that criminal cases were also initiated against employees of the Ministry of Revenue and State Enterprise “Zarya Agro” under Part 1 of Art. 348 Criminal Code of the DPR, Part 1, Art. 225 of the Criminal Code of the DPR. They are accused, respectively, of improperly performing their official duties and performing managerial functions in the enterprise, contrary to the legitimate interests of society and the state.
Previously, Mikhail Khalin was Deputy Minister of Revenue and Duties, Deputy Prime Minister of the DPR Alexander Timofeev (call sign “Tashkent”), who got injured, being near the first head of the Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, when an explosive device went off in the Separ cafe in Donetsk on August 31.
Timofeev left the DPR soon after being wounded.
