Kyiv, May 08 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) – Members of the People's Council of the Donetsk People's Republic decided not to postpone the referendum on the independence of the region on May 11.

Co-chairman of the DPR government Miroslav Rudenko told reporters in Donetsk.

According to the information channel “Russia 24”, the decision of the Donetsk residents was supported by Lugansk.

Let us recall that the day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin, after negotiations with the current OSCE Chairman Didier Burkhalter, called on representatives of the Southeast to postpone the referendum in order to create “the necessary conditions for dialogue with the authorities in Kyiv.”
