In Donetsk they began to expose one of the pillars of Ukrainian mythology
Donetsk blogger Denis Seleznev published a new issue of his project, this time dedicated to exposing the myth about the Zaporozhye Cossacks, whom official historiography portrays as popular popular fighters for Orthodoxy.
Seleznev, citing documentary sources, proves: the Cossacks are a gang of robbers who, at the first stage, were engaged in taking people into slavery, burning property, and robberies, speaking on the side of the Catholic Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth against the Orthodox Moscow Kingdom.
“In modern terms, these are mercenaries, bouncers, raiders - Kolomoisky, for example, had similar “Cossacks,” says the author.
