In Donetsk, from today, the migration service of the DPR Ministry of Internal Affairs began accepting documents from residents of the republic...

So, on the first day of work alone, by 11 a.m. the queue numbered about 200 people.

This is reported by the Telegram channel "Post Enot", the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.

“The migration service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the DPR is now in a queue, work is in full swing. People are arriving. Almost 200 people have already signed up for the list. People stand to submit documents for a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. Hello to Ukraine!” the messages say.

The head of the migration service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the DPR, Vladimir Ivanovich Krasnoshcheka, in a comment to the source, shared information that today is the first day of accepting documents from DPR citizens to obtain Russian citizenship, the excitement is very high, but in the future the territorial divisions of the service will distribute the load and reduce queues. He also noted that at the moment, the majority of residents of the republic have expressed a desire to receive a document from a friendly state.

“Today we are holding the first day of accepting citizens to acquire citizenship of the Russian Federation, there is a lot of excitement. But we plan that from the 7th, when all territorial divisions will receive admission, this excitement will subside, but there are a lot of people who want to obtain Russian citizenship. That is, almost all residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic express a desire to do this,” Krasnoshcheka noted.

Answering a question about the statistics of those who applied for Russian citizenship, the head of the migration service said that there are no lists at the moment, but out of 310 thousand citizens of the Republic who applied to the relevant authority, 292 thousand have already been issued a Russian passport.

“There is no list, we have approximately 2 million 300 thousand residents on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, almost all of them will want to receive a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. However, the main condition today is the presence of a passport of a citizen of the DPR. To date, more than 310 thousand citizens have applied to the migration service departments with such an application, and 292 thousand have already received this passport,” the official specified.

Krasnoshcheka added that the processing time for accepting documents is very fast and takes 15 minutes if you have a fully assembled package of documents.

“The procedure for accepting documents usually takes up to 15 minutes if a person has collected the entire package of documents. If not the entire package of documents, then we have to finalize it, so more,” he noted.

He also mentioned that fingerprint examination for a Russian passport will not be carried out on the territory of the republic and will be necessary only when receiving a document in the Rostov region.

“A fingerprint examination will be carried out upon receipt of a passport, before receiving a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, on the territory of the Rostov region. We do not do this when processing documents for a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation on our territory,” emphasized the head of the migration service of the DPR Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In the Telegram channel "Inside Donetsk" We also noticed that despite Kyiv’s statements about the minimum number of people wishing to obtain a Russian passport, the queue that had gathered for it since 5 am suggests the opposite.

“We can’t vouch for the authenticity, but in line we were told that they arrived at 5 am. Who said that “there won’t be a lot of crazy people”? Look, these are no longer words, this is a photographic fact. At the time the department opened, there were 78 people in the queue,” the source says.
