Recently, a number of publications reported that fighters from the Krivbass battalion of the Ministry of Defense in the vicinity of Donetsk captured two terrorists “with weapons and documents,” one of whom was allegedly the head of the anti-corruption department of the Organized Organized Crime Control Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region, Sergei Tishchenko.

This information does not correspond to reality, as stated in the Main Directorate. Yesterday, police lieutenant colonel Sergei Tishchenko personally visited the press service of the regional Main Internal Affairs Directorate.

The publication in the electronic media is fake from start to finish: the photo allegedly showing “Tishchenko” shows an unknown man blindfolded. The only thing the officer identified in the photographs was his business card, which he had made two years ago.

“It follows that the authors of the article deliberately advocate instability in the region and directly denigrate people in uniform serving in tense conditions,” said the press service of the GUMVD.

According to Tishchenko, in this difficult time for law enforcement officers, the department under his leadership is engaged in operational support for a number of high-profile crimes committed in the region. “In the field of view of the UBOP officers, officials, corrupt officials of various ranks, and operatives make every effort to perform their professional duties at the proper level,” law enforcement officers say.
