It is very easy to stumble in life and take the path of crime. But correcting the mistake and returning to society and normal life is much more difficult. And, unfortunately, there are many examples of very young people committing minor offenses, not understanding what this can lead to, and ultimately ruining their lives.
But often it is enough to show a person what can await him, and what his own frivolity can lead to, and his attitude to life changes literally before his eyes.
For educational purposes, it was decided to show many children who had already broken the law the “wrong side” of life. For minors registered with the penal inspection and sentenced to a non-custodial sentence, DPR law enforcement agencies conducted a tour of the Donetsk detention center of the State Penitentiary Service of the DPR Ministry of Internal Affairs. Students from the Donetsk Communal Services Lyceum were also sent to pre-trial detention.
The head of the department of social and psychological work with convicts of the Donetsk pre-trial detention center, senior lieutenant of the internal service, Sergei Shitikov, took the guys through the pre-trial detention center and introduced them to the conditions of detention of the convicts.
And if at first the guys perceived this excursion as some kind of adventure, then after what they saw, their gaze became more serious. The teenagers were shown a room for long visits, a block where minors are kept, and blocks No. 18-22 where women are kept. The schoolchildren also visited the canteen, where they tasted the food prepared for the convicts.
Judging by the expressions on the faces of the young people, it can be argued that they have come to realize what may actually await them, and that they do not like such a fate at all.
At the end of the meeting, the head of the pre-trial detention center, Lieutenant Colonel of the Internal Service Igor Trubitsin, wished the guys never to end up in such institutions: “I want to thank the organizers for this excursion, and I want to say that it is of a preventive nature. And I really hope that this event will help the children choose the right path in life.”
Thank you!
