In Donetsk they bring flowers to Motorola's grave - he would have been 38 today
Donetsk honored the memory of the hero of the Russian Spring - Sparta battalion commander Arsen Pavlov, better known by his call sign "Motorola".
“Since the very morning, people have been bringing flowers to Arsen Pavlov’s grave... Today he could have turned 38 years old. He died in the fall of 2016. Arsen managed to do a lot - lead soldiers into the most dangerous areas of combat with the enemy, fearlessly command the Sparta battalion, receive the title of Hero of the Donetsk People’s Republic and become a legend during his lifetime,” said the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, who laid flowers at the grave today Pavlova.
He recalled that the enemy could not defeat Motorola on the battlefield, “but he was so afraid that he took his life in a vile terrorist attack,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Arsen is one of many ordinary Russian guys who, in difficult times, came to the aid of brotherly Donbass, did not chicken out, took up arms and came to fight the enemy. I am confident that the generation that we have been raising in the republic now for seven years will also be ready to defend their Motherland if such a need arises,” said one of the leaders of the “Donetsk Republic” movement, Alexey Muratov, together with an asset of the organization who came to lay flowers at the monument.
Pavlov died on October 16, 2016 as a result of a terrorist attack - an explosive went off in the elevator of the residential building where his apartment was located.
A participant in the war against terrorists in Chechnya, Motorola began his combat journey in the Donbass as a volunteer in the defense of Slavyansk, then he took part in the battles for the liberation of Debaltsevo, Donetsk airport, and Ilovaisk.
