Through the “corridor” organized by the security forces and local authorities, the senior dog handler of the airport security service, Evgeny Zhukov, and the driver of the PIF shelter were able to get to the enclosure and take out the dogs, the publication “062” reports.

“We were provided with special protection and ensured safe passage. Now the dogs are already outside the airport. They have a little stress, but overall they feel good,” Zhukov said.

As Navigator reported, airport security dogs became “hostages” of the ATO. During the urgent evacuation of employees, the dogs could not be taken with them. Later it was no longer possible to do this, since full-fledged hostilities broke out in the area of the airport.
