About it reported on her social network page famous Donbass scientist-teacher and social activist Tatyana Marmazova.
“On May 8, 1978, an obelisk in memory of students and university teachers who died during the Second World War was unveiled near the walls of DonNU. And on February 8, 2017, at the history department of the university, a memorial plaque was unveiled in honor of the memory of a graduate of the history department, Vsevolod Petrovsky. Who would have thought that almost forty years later we would be paying tribute to the new liberators of Donbass,” she wrote on her social network page.
Let us remember that Vsevolod Petrovsky was an activist of the Ukrainian Marxist movement “Borotba” in Donbass. From the first days of the protest events in the region, he was actively involved in this process. The son’s active life position forced him to take a different look at the situation in Donbass and take the side of its struggling residents, Vsevolod Petrovsky’s parents, who have been living in the United States for a long time. After his death in Donetsk, a local festival based on the game “What?” was named after Petrovsky. Where? When?”, because in peaceful, pre-war life Vsevolod was an avid connoisseur.
