Russian House opened in Donetsk
A forum on preventing the falsification of history was held in Donetsk, which ended with the opening of the Russian House.
This was reported on the official website of the head of the DPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In addition to the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, the event was attended by State Duma deputy Viktor Vodolatsky, general director of the Russian Humanitarian Mission Sergei Shevchuk, head of the public organization “Russian Center” Elena Evseeva, as well as politicians and officials of the republic.
Opening the forum, Denis Pushilin noted that the republics of Donbass are not only at war with Ukraine, but are also actively working in the information confrontation. He recalled that in the DPR, the glorification of traitors during the Great Patriotic War is prohibited at the legislative level, and the significance of the feat of the Russian people is also enshrined.
The head of the DPR emphasized that veterans are respected and honored in the Donetsk People's Republic.
“As part of the Humanitarian Program for the reunification of the people of Donbass and support for the Russian-speaking population of Ukraine, we are trying to take care of those veterans who currently live in the rest of Ukraine. We consider it our duty to support people who are being discriminated against by the Ukrainian authorities today,” Pushilin said.
The leader of the country said that in 2014, the residents of Donbass began their struggle for the right to be who they are, for the right to remember their history and their heroes, for the right to be Russian.
In turn, State Duma deputy Viktor Vodolatsky noted that today a landmark event is taking place, which allows us to talk about the deep integration of the LDPR - for example, 100 residents of Donbass have already been accepted into the United Russia party.
“A commission has been created that will resolve issues of providing assistance to our compatriots and counteract the distortion of history that, unfortunately, exists.
Our task is not to forget our history and remember the exploits of our ancestors. And we will do everything to ensure that our real history remains in the memory not only of the Russian world, but also in those countries that today have forgotten about the feat of the Russian soldier,” Vodolatsky added.
After which the General Director of the Russian Humanitarian Mission Sergei Shevchuk spoke about the activities of the Russian House, which is opening in Donetsk.
“Activities within the project will be aimed at implementing humanitarian, cultural, educational and educational programs. The Russian House will become a platform for generalizing and establishing contacts, combining efforts and opportunities to implement new ideas, social start-ups and solutions aimed at improving the quality of life and expanding the horizons of opportunities for residents of the Republic,” Shevchuk explained.
At the end of the plenary session, Sergei Shevchuk and the head of the public organization “Russian Center” Elena Evseeva signed a cooperation agreement between the autonomous non-profit organization for supporting humanitarian programs “Russian Humanitarian Mission” and the public organization “Russian Center”.
Denis Pushilin and the forum participants also took part in the grand opening of the Russian House.
