The head of the Republic and chairman of the public movement “Donetsk Republic” Alexander Zakharchenko addressed the audience with congratulations, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Under our flag we go into battle, under our flag we restore the economy, open factories, build schools, houses, kindergartens. Our comrades died under this flag, and under this flag we will definitely win. I am sure that the day will come when our flag will fly over all the cities of the former Donetsk region,” Zakharchenko said.

To the sounds of the DPR national anthem, a huge banner was raised over Lenin Square. Also, after the congratulatory speech of the Head, leading artists of the Republic performed in front of the townspeople with a festive concert.
