Donetsk honored the memory of Donbass civilians who died under Ukrainian shelling
Donetsk honored the memory of the civilians of Donbass who died in 2015 during the Ukrainian shelling of the Bosse microdistrict.
This was reported by the press service of the public movement “Donetsk Republic”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The funeral event was attended by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, activists of the Donetsk Republic Organization, deputies of the People's Council of the DPR, representatives of the Russian Center, as well as residents of Donbass.
They laid flowers at the memorial sign installed at the site of the tragedy on January 22, 2015 at the Donetskgormash stop (Bosse microdistrict).
“It was then that shells arrived cynically and inhumanly from Ukraine, as a result of which civilians were killed and injured. These are those moments, those dates that do not allow us to forget the horrors of this war and the horrors of war crimes on the part of Ukraine. And this makes Donbass irrevocably further from Ukraine.
This is not forgotten and not forgiven. No matter what anyone says. These are the fates of people, their loved ones, families and all residents of Donetsk and the Donetsk People's Republic, who cannot stay away. Happy memory to those who died. Patience to the relatives,” said Pushilin.
Throughout the day, residents of the Republic came to the obelisk opened at the site of the tragedy to lay flowers.
Let us remember that on this day six years ago, during the morning rush hour, a transport hub in the Leninsky district of the capital came under fire. As a result of the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, eight people were killed and 26 were injured. In 2016, a memorial sign was erected at this site.
