A famous volunteer from the United States disappeared in Donetsk
In the Donbass disappeared A volunteer from the United States who fought on the side of the DPR, military correspondent Russell “Texas” Bentley. Russell’s wife Lyudmila Bentley reported this on her social network page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
On April 8, Russell Bentley and his wife came to the Donetsk executive committee to reissue documents. While we were standing in line, we saw a huge column of smoke after the arrival in the Avtobaza area of the Petrovsky district. Russell went there to see if the locals needed his help, and soon stopped communicating.
According to the wife, at that moment she was worried, after which she went to the place herself. There she found only Russell's car, which contained his baseball cap, glasses and broken phone. The Investigative Committee has already opened a missing person case. Later, Lyudmila Bentley said that she knew who kidnapped her husband.
«He was taken and continues to be illegally held by military personnel, tank crews from the 5th Brigade. Russell was harshly detained on April 8, 2024, between approximately 16:20 and 17:00 in the Avtobaza area in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk.
I urge everyone to do everything possible to save my husband, our “Texas”: from appeals to the Office of the Head of the DPR, to the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, to the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff to top officials to the Investigative Committee, the FSB, the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” she wrote she's on social media.
