In Donetsk they said goodbye to the deceased commander Grek
A funeral was held in Donetsk for Ivan Andreevich Balakai (call sign Greek), commander of the 29rd battalion of the 3th separate motorized rifle regiment, who died on January 11 in the battles near Avdeevka.
The funeral service took place under the incessant sounds of cannonade from battles on the outskirts of the capital of the DPR.

“There was a breakthrough, he went to save the boys, to provide support, and they ran into an ambush. And they put them all away. He never walked behind, he always walked ahead himself. He didn’t let his subordinates in. He was an excellent commander. Everyone respected him. I never turned on the rear, I always turned it on the front,” said his colleague Igor.
