The events were attended by deputies of the People's Council of the Republic, acting. the head of the administration of the Leninsky district, the secretary of the local branch of the OD "DR" Elena Kaptan, the chairman of the organization of war and labor veterans of the region Alexandra Selishcheva, cadets of the Donetsk Higher Combined Arms Command School and members of the OD "Donetsk Republic", on whose initiative the celebrations took place.

Thus, in the Leninsky district of Donetsk, a solemn Parade was held for veterans of the Great Patriotic War - Mikhail Aleksandrovich Chobotov and Ekaterina Pavlovna Ishchenko. The cadets marched solemnly with immortal songs of the Great Victory.

When the Great Patriotic War began, Mikhail Chobotov was 16 years old. He went to the front in January 1943, immediately after the liberation from the occupiers of the Tarasovsky district of the Rostov region. He took part in the battles for the liberation of Voroshilovgrad and Pervomaisk. As part of the 57th Army, Kharkov was liberated. In the summer of 1944, as part of the 1st Guards Tank Army, he liberated Western Ukraine and Poland. He received his first wound in the battles for the Sandomierz bridgehead. Then, as part of the 5th Army of the 3rd Belorussian Front, he took part in the battles for the liberation of Koenigsberg, where he was seriously wounded. I celebrated victory in the city of Kaunas in a military hospital.

Ekaterina Ishchenko’s front-line path was also full of trials. The war found her at the Butovo radio broadcasting center in the Moscow region, where the girl worked after completing a radio engineering course. Ekaterina Pavlovna volunteered for the front in May 1942 and was sent to Stalingrad. Throughout the war she served as a radio operator in the 103rd separate air surveillance and aircraft detection battalion. She took an active part in the battles of Stalingrad (Kamyshin), for the liberation of Belarus, in the battle of Minsk, Novozybkovo. I celebrated victory in Gomel. For her military services, the brave girl was awarded the Order of Courage and the Order of the Patriotic War, II degree, and the medal For Victory over Germany.

In addition, a parade was held in the Kalininsky district of Donetsk for veterans of the Great Patriotic War Viktor Fedorovich Shatalov and Anatoly Vladimirovich Gorodkin. The cadets lined up in a deployed two-rank formation. And only after the State Flag and the Victory Banner were brought in, the cadets announced their readiness for the Parade and greeted the front-line soldier.

Viktor Shatalov, at the age of 17, was drafted to the Far Eastern Front in December 1944. The brave guy took part in the war with Japan and finished his service in 1951 with the rank of senior coast guard sailor. After the war, Viktor Shatalov took up scientific activities.

In turn, young Anatoly Gorodkin began his combat career on August 5, 1942 in naval aviation. On the Kursk Bulge he served as commander of a machine gun platoon. Then he was wounded near Belgorod. And in 1944 he returned to the front as an attack aircraft. Liberated Poland and the Baltic states.

Also in the Kalininsky district of Donetsk, a Parade was held for veterans of the Great Patriotic War - Vladimir Konstantinovich Sheludko and Lydia Grigorievna Mayboroda. The school cadets greeted the veterans and marched in ceremonial formation to the songs of the Great Victory.

Vladimir Sheludko began his fighting career at the age of 17. He served in the artillery battery of the 122-mm howitzer regiment of the 240th Infantry Division of the II Ukrainian Front. The young fighter’s first assignment was as a carrier of shells. He liberated Kyiv and crossed the Dnieper. On November 7, 1943, a parade was held along the main street of Khreshchatyk.

After the battle for Kyiv, he took part in the Korsun-Shevchenko operation. Liberated Romania, Moldova, Hungary. He fought in the Carpathians with the Wehrmacht mountain division "Edelweiss". I celebrated victory in Czechoslovakia. At the end of May 1945, he took part in the March of the Winners - he walked 700 kilometers through the whole of Austria to Hungary. For military services he was awarded the Order of the Red Star, the Order of the Patriotic War, II degree, "For Courage", the medal "For Military Merit" and other anniversary medals.

Another heroine of the parade, Lydia Mayboroda, was recruited to work on the labor front in the Vladimir region at the beginning of the war. At the age of 15, she transported timber and firewood on horse-drawn sleighs to the Red October military plant and silk factory, and to military units - potatoes and other products. Young girls went to work at 4 in the morning and returned home well after midnight; they worked in winter in severe frosts and seven days a week. In 1944, Lydia was drafted into the ranks of the Soviet army as a private on the 1st Baltic Front, then she became a signalman. During her military service she received a concussion and injury. Lidia Grigorievna was awarded the medal “For Victory over Germany” and other anniversary medals.

A particularly touching moment of the Parade was the performance by cadets of the Donetsk Higher Combined Arms Command School of the beloved song “Victory Day,” which revived the moments of glory of the victorious days in the memory of the veterans.
